Who would have known the intense hues of trial and longing, would give backdrop to a display of color, beauty and light.

 

Visual Devotion has been a way for me to flesh out the truth of who God is and His involvement in my life and the world around us.

 

It is an endeavor to see and name purpose in the pleasant and beautiful, as well as the harsh and hostile.  And all the while know that He is with us - an assurance grounded in reality, not emotion. 

 

"How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them,

they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You" Ps 139:17-18
